TSS 19: Samburu/Maasai Mara/Mt. Kenya (9 Days/8 Nights)

Day 1: NAIROBI

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by a Travel Scene Services Tour representative who will assist you to your vehicle, where you will be introduced to your driver cum Tour Guide; then transferred to your hotel. Briefing will be done over a welcome drink before check-in to your room. (D,B)

Day 2: NAIROBI-SAMBURU NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast depart Nairobi past the equator to Samburu National Park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch in your mini-bus with pop-up roof take an afternoon game drive. Among the animals to be seen are the Giraffe, Grevey’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Long neck Gerenuk, Elephants, Guinea Fowl, the African Buffalo, Cheetah, & Lions. (L, & D) Overnight Samburu Serena/ Samburu Safari Lodge

Day 3: SAMBURU NATIONAL PARK

Spend this day exploring this park with a morning game drive and in the afternoon an optional visit to a Samburu village. (B, L & D) Overnight Samburu Serena/Serena Safari Lodge

Day 4: SAMBURU – MT. KENYA

Coffee & Tea are served at the lobby before departing for an early morning game drive. Breakfast at the lodge and thereafter leave for the Mt. Kenya region (at the foot of the highest mountain in the region) to a Tree Hotel “The Mountain Lodge” which is floodlit and game viewing is possible both during the day and at night. (L, D , B,)

Day 5: MT. KENYA – L. NAKURU

Today after breakfast we travel to L. Nakuru a bird and rhino sanctuary, and home to a variety of wildlife. This lake is famous for its pink flamingoes. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. A late afternoon game drive will allow you to see the many wild animals in the park. Experience bird watchers can spot up to 200 species of birds. (L, D, B ) Overnight at Sarova Hill Lodge/Lake Nakuru Lodge

Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara

Start with an early game drive, breakfast and depart to the world famous Maasai Mara. Enroute you will see the Maasai people whose lives are largely unaffected by modern civilization. Check in at your hotel followed by a buffet lunch. In the late afternoon depart for a comprehensive game drive in the park where you will spot Lion, Rhino, Cheetah, and more animals roaming wild on the Mara plains. (L, D,) Overnight at Mara Serena

Day 7: MAASAI MARA

Today, explore the great Maasai Mara after breakfast. You may stop and view the Hippos and Crocodiles from special sites near the rivers. Return to the Lodge and relax before your buffet lunch . In the afternoon leave for another game drive to explore another part of this world famous reserve. Dinner at your lodge. (B, L, D) Overnight at Mara Serena/Sopa/Keekorok

Day 8: Mara – Nairobi

Early morning game drive; breakfast at your lodge and depart for Nairobi arriving in time for lunch, the rest of the afternoon at leisure. (L, D, B) Overnight at Mayfair Holiday Inn/Nairobi Serena/Hotel Intercontinental Day 9: Nairobi Breakfast, and leave for a city tour cum shopping. Lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant courtesy of TSS. Transfer to the airport to catch your flight home. OPTION * This Tour can be extended to Amboseli & Tsavo National Parks ending at the Coast.

Day 9: NAIROBI- AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Travel to Amboseli National Park. Full day to explore and savor the beauty of this park searching for elephants buffalo, lion, cheetah, wildebeest and the Maasai giraffe. (L, D,B) Overnight at Oltukai Lodge

Day 10: TSAVO WEST

After breakfast depart for Tsavo West National Park via Kyulu hills and Shaitani lava flows and Mzima springs where from an observation tank you can see Hippos walking the floor of the Springs. Tsavo host the “Big Five” and plenty other wildlife. (L,D B) Overnight at Kilaguni Lodge

Day 11: TSAVO EAST

Depart Tsavo West after breakfast and cross over into Tsavo East which is known for its man-eating lions and plenty of wild game. Game drive in the late afternoon. L,D B, Overnight Voi Safari Lodge/Aruba Lodge

Day 12:  TSAVO EAST

Early morning game drive.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and depart for Nairobi arriving late afternoon. Dinner

Day 13:  NAIROBI

Nairobi Breakfast, and leave for a city tour cum shopping.

Lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant courtesy of TSS. Transfer to the airport to catch your flight home.
