TSS 17: L. Victoria - Rusinga Island (1 Day)

Rusinga Island is on Lake Victoria the second largest fresh water lake in the world and the source of River Nile.

A chance to explore this fascinating region can be arranged for a day or with an overnight in the Island. One will be picked from any airstrip of Masai Mara game reserve and the adventure begins with a dawn flight over a patch works of forests, villages and farmland until the hills surrounding Lake Victoria signal your arrival. A delicious breakfast will be served on the island and then the day is spent fishing, bird watching or simply exploring the natural beauty of the Island and its shores.

Fishes over 100 pounds are regularly caught from the well equipped boats each powered by twin outboard engines many of the boat captains were born near the lake and know this lake better
