Kakamega Forest is one of the last remaining rain forests in Kenya. It houses over 350 species of birds, ferns, indigenous butterflies and you will also enjoy the site of Olive baboons, blue and red tailed monkeys.
Ruma National Park is a fine place to see roan antelopes, Jackson’s hartebeest and oribia one of the smallest of the antelope family. Ruma is the only place in Kenya where globally threatened Blue swallow and black-backed cisticola species are recorded. Blue swallow a scarce intra-African migrant bird from Southern Tanzania.
