Mt. Kenya & Aberdares
Mt Kenya and Aberdares to the Southwestern edge of the massif inside both Mt. Kenya and Aberdares is Mountain Lodge, the best spot for viewing game inside the park. This tree hotel is situated right in the rainforest, with buffalo, antelope, elephant and sometimes lion, leopard and rhino visiting the lodge’s floodlit waterhole. Sykes monkeys are also plentiful and can be found clambering roofs and ledges, and sometimes scurrying in and out of the guests’ rooms. Set against the mountain’s backdrop is the luxurious Mt. Kenya Safari Club, a retreat for the international jet set, with landscaped gardens, golf course, riding stables and a croquet lawn.
