Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Maasai Mara is one of the world’s most famous game reserves. It forms the northern extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. It is a country of breathtaking vistas, a panorama of vast rolling plains and hills of uneven groves of acacia woodlands and dense thickets. The park possesses the largest population of lions found in Kenya and also boasts herds of topi and a small population of roan antelope, animals not found in many other Kenyan parks or reserves. Elephants are fairly common and may sometimes hold up travelers on the road.
